Description
Scarlet Lock has been kidnapped by Lucian White and is now in the Revolutionaries’ Headquarters. She must decide whether to trust Lucian and the secrets he reveals, or mark him as an enemy. Her goal is to discover where the other X-prototypes are, and with the help of a human named Ryder Blackwood, they might just do it.
Eric Thorn is on a quest to get Scarlet back no matter what, but he is finding it difficult. Scarlet is untraceable and his boss Lisa has prohibited any more search parties. But that won’t stop Eric in gathering a team and going after her.
Andrew and Cassie Silverstone have been kidnapped by The Slaughterers. To get his sister back safe and well, he must do as they say. They want him to bring someone to them, someone that might just put up a fight. But Andrew is willing to do whatever it takes for his sister to be returned.

You can tell you have found not only a good series, but a good author, when you want to both hug your copy and throw it out of the window, stomp on it, then set it on fire.
It didn’t take me long to get back into this series (I read the ARC for Eternal Darkness about a year ago), or have my love for Eric Thorn reignited. The story is quite fast paced, which I enjoyed, and you get to know a lot of your favourite characters a whole lot better! There’s also an incredible amount of twists and turns that kept the pages turning. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this sequel, and I can’t wait for the conclusion to the series!

WHAT A MIND-BLOWING BOOK! J.F. Johns truly knows how to write an explosive story from start to end. What I loved the most about this book, was to see the characters deal with their brokenness, and more than that, to see how each one of them grow throughout the book. As usual, the book was fast-paced, SPECIALLY THE ENDING, GOD, but in comparison with the first book, this one was a bit slower. I can’t wait to see what J.F. Johns comes up with in the next book. This one opened a door for many things to happen in the third book, so I cannot wait to read about what happens next in this thrilling adventure!

I really liked the first book and this sequel was impressive (and broke my heart, thank you author), with this book I finally got the chance to know the character a little more, and to laugh and cry with them. Would I recommend this series? Yes, yes and yes.

Warning: prepare for your heart to be broken about a thousand times. What can I say? wow. I don’t think I’ll ever recover from that ending.
eternal darkness: oblivion is one epic sequel.
Remember confused, scared Scarlet? forget her. she now knows who she is and just what she is capable of. but she’s not alone. there are other X prototypes out there. they went through many horrors in their making, but now they will fight back.
