This book is sequel to the trilogy “Eternal Darkness” however you can read this book without reading the trilogy. The book hit a rocky start but I found myself quite amused while reading this. The plot is very fast and I flew through it. I really liked the plot, the characters & the world the author created. Although sometimes I felt the writing went from this to that with no real connection. Arguments were quickly solved and at one point the main character came up with a stupid idea because she had a gut feeling and there was almost no arguing and they just went on to do something dangerous that made no sense. But still I quite liked the story! I really grew to love some of the characters! It definitely has great potential! I’m looking forward to where the second book will take us.

When I first saw this book and read it’s synopsis, I knew I had to read it. I mean science fiction with forbidden romance and evil government? Count me in!! And I am glad I read this book. It’s awesome.

So where is the next book in this series?
I read this without knowing that it was the follow up to the Eternal Darkness trilogy.
And while I could follow the story just fine because it has new characters, there are characters from the original trilogy involved who will make you want to read the first three books because they are so strong and wonderful. Also, the story is beautifully complex and I’m sure that- while it isn’t really necessary – reading the story from the beginning will enhance the experience even more.
There is the forbidden relationship between a girl and a Cyborg, there are some supernatural elements like mindcontrol and there is a seemingly mighty government that has their eyes and ears everywhere.
Not to forget the mysterious prototype Cyborgs who seem to be immortal…
I really can’t wait to be be back in this world and see where the Cyborgs are taking us next!
